Assessment of professional competence of masters of physical therapy and occupational therapy

November, 20th-21st National University Of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport held the training workshop "Assessment of professional competence of masters of physical therapy and occupational therapy" with the support of the European Union project ERASMUS+ REHAB «Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction of new master degree programs in Ukraine».
In this event was attended by more than 50 participants who represented REHAB Project Partners; members of the Scientific and Methodical Subcommittee “227 Physical and occupational therapy” of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; representatives of universities that train masters of physical and occupational therapy; physical therapists, occupational therapists; specialized non-governmental organizations.
First Vice-Rector of the our university, prof. Myroslav Dutchak welcomed of the participants of training workshop.
For two days the following reports were heard:
Olena Bismak (NUUPES) - "EU ERASMUS + REHAB project: a brief overview of the project's objectives and objectives".
Aija Klavina (Latvian Academy of Sports Education, Riga, Latvia) - "International approaches to the assessment of physical therapists and occupational therapists".
Lesya Voitenko, Olena Lazarieva (TB, NUUPES) - "Educational field of physical and occupational therapy: Review of the regulatory framework and practice on the certification of graduates of the field of education and training "Health care" and General and professional competences of physical therapist, occupational therapists: results of work of Scientific and methodical commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine".
Maryna Mrouga (MES) - "Tools for assessment of general and professional competencies of graduates. The main features".
Yurii Zavydniuk (Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University) - "Objective structured practical (clinical) exam as part of the certification of graduates of the specialty "Physical therapy, ergotherapy": experience of development and introduction".
The participants of the event discussed for two days the educational field of physical and occupational therapy, · development of the concept of certification for the evaluation of masters of the specialty "Physical and occupational therapy" in accordance with the requirements of the higher education standard and were determining the purpose, structure and program (content) of the standardized Step 2 exam for the Physical and occupational therapy specialty.
